I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, right in the center of town, making it easy to explore the main street and shops. The staff were incredibly helpful and provided great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy sitting area and a balcony to enjoy the stunning views. The breakfast options were plentiful, with delicious cooked bacon and eggs. I also appreciated the complimentary drink in the evening and the opportunity to watch the sunset from the library. the service and amenities provided here were top-notch.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area.

For such a remote location the accommodation was of a very high standard. The room was nicely decorated & was warm & inviting when we first entered it. The heating in the bathroom was excellent also.

We did not like the dark hallways lit with low lights when it was early evening - later in the night is understandable.

An excellent facility and very well maintained - it was spotless. Very helpful staff.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our room at Distinction. The bathroom was well-appointed and the amenities provided were thoughtful. Despite being in a remote town, we were able to explore the glacier and even took a heli ride to land on the snowy top. I would recommend this hotel for its comfortable accommodations and unique location.

Walking distance to everything we need. Cook to order hot breakfast was excellent.

Pricey

The breakfast was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was cold (a heated floor would have been great) but the shower was wonderful. The price was a bit high.

Hotel was of recent construction. Very clean. The food was not fancy but good.

We had asked (many months ago) to have a room on a higher floor but the receptionist said it was kept for people who stayed 2 nights... and we only stayed 1 night.. We feel we paid too much for that type of hotel.

This hotel was beautiful and certainly lived up to my expectations. We arrived late in the evening, but since we had phoned ahead a staff member was on hand to check us in and show us to our room. I wish we'd had an extra night to sit on our balcony and enjoy the view. Yes, it's more expensive than the other accommodations in town, but certainly not overpriced. Breakfast was delicious and having a cooked option included was great before our glacier hike!

the location was convenient, just a short walk from town, which provided us with access to restaurants and bars. the room was spacious and very clean with large bathrooms and a modern decor. the staff provided excellent service and the breakfast was a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed the great selection of dishes and the good view.

The lounge area was not very inviting and could be improved with a warmer atmosphere.

Great feel, great staff and great location

The rooms were spacious and clean, with a bathtub and shower room. the location was perfect for visiting Lake Matheson, and everything was within a short walk. Breakfast was good, with a cozy atmosphere and a nice view.

The Christmas meal was disappointing and overpriced. the towels and toilet paper were budget, and the hallways were cold.

It was beautiful, well worth every cent. It was my favourite place to stay on our NZ Trip.
